See....I CAN make a cake!Okay, so maybe I need to preface why this cake is of so much importance. As most of you know, I have an extreme case of perfectionism (yes, I realize this is not a word). The story begins with a dear friend who made a pact with me; I made her take knitting classes and in return I would take as many cake decorating classes as I could handle. So, during our first 'actual' cake decorating class my perfectionism is on red alert.
Then wham-o, the cake frosting is not smoothing out, the piping gel doesn't want to stay in place on my design, and the icing is not flowing freely out of the piping bag tip....grrr! And, you know me, I haven't learned the art of, "just breath," as my dad puts it. So, I'm bent over looking at the tip of the piping bag trying to figure out what the problem is and splat, the tip goes rocketing across the table leaving the entire bag of icing to barf all over my cake.
But don't you worry, I did a little breathing, and decided on a new design...........
My cake is on the left, with the new design.........alla' my hand through the entire cake! Okay so maybe I forgot to breath!?! *Note, my very talented friend's cake is on the right*Now that you fully understand my cake inabilities, you can fully appreciate my victory over this new cake. Oh, by the way, the new cake is make of diapers, no icing/gel/or crappy frosting on this cake :) That's right, my kind of cake!!
